    The Best F-150 Yet

The Ford F-Series trucks have been around for three-quarters of a century now, and for the last four decades, the F-150 has been part of Ford’s best-selling truck lineup. How have these pickups remained so popular? Because Ford has continued to innovate, enhancing the F-150 with everything from additional safety features to multiple powertrain configurations. Ford isn’t afraid to experiment to find the right combination, and the 2024 Ford F-150 is a culmination of over a century of research, design, and testing. For 2024, the F-150 has been built to exemplify Ford’s description of its trucks: tough. The standard and available features merge to create the toughest Ford pickup ever built.

The new tech features include a 12-inch infotainment center that comes standard on every trim level, replacing the old eight-inch base unit. There is also a brand-new head-up display that will help you to keep your eyes on the road. Minor updates to the exterior design have given the F-150 a more sophisticated look, and the new Pro-Access Tailgate makes loading and unloading more convenient, even when you have a trailer attached. The swing-out tailgate door allows you to access equipment you’ll need before you make camp or to move things around so that you can keep everything organized while you unpack. There are also more options available depending on which trim level you end up choosing.

  • Powertrains

    An Array of Options

For 2024, you have a choice between EcoBoost and PowerBoost, turbocharged and supercharged, hybrid and V8 powertrains. The turbocharged 2.7L EcoBoost V6 powertrain is now standard across the lower trim levels, while the 5.0L V8 engine is the base pick for several of the higher trims. Next up, there are three versions of the twin-turbo 3.5L V6 engine. The standard 3.5L EcoBoost is available across the lineup, while the High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost is unique to the Raptor trim level. Finally, there is the 3.5L PowerBoost full-hybrid powertrain, so if you’re looking for energy-saving, efficient engines, you’ve got some excellent choices. If you don't care about saving fuel, then there is the top-of-the-line 5.2L supercharged V8 in the Raptor R.

The new 2.7L EcoBoost base engine is not only powerful but also incredibly efficient, making it a solid choice for many truck buyers, so you don't necessarily need to upgrade to a more powerful option. Which engine is the best fit for you depends on what you’ll be doing. Do you want something that is fuel-efficient, like the 3.5L PowerBoost? Or something more focused on power for hauling and towing, like the 3.5L EcoBoost. Or are you looking for something that has enough gumption to go off-road, like the V8 options? Ford made sure to offer an engine option for every driver in the 2024 F-150, and we'll be happy to walk you through your options. Plus, don't forget about the all-electric F-150 Lightning if you want a new take on this classic truck.

  • Safety & Tech

    Superior Safety

Ford did not skimp on either safety or tech for the 2024 F-150. Every single trim level is now equipped with a standard 12-inch capacitive touchscreen infotainment center with swipe capability. It is now easier than ever before to access navigation, entertainment, contacts, and more from your vehicle’s screen. You’ll have no trouble switching between directions, a business call, or songs on your playlist. There are not many infotainment center screens larger than the F-150’s, but you’ll have to see it to believe it.

One of the most exciting features of the 2024 F-150 is Pro Power Onboard, a system that allows you to utilize the truck’s engine as a power source for charging batteries, operating tools, powering appliances, and more. Pro Power Onboard is there to help you get the job done, even if you’re in the midst of a power outage. Every F-150 that comes equipped with the 3.5L PowerBoost full-hybrid powertrain has this feature standard, and it is available with the other engine options, though you'll have different levels of power depending on the particular engine. The F-150 PowerBoost comes standard with 2.4 kW of exportable power and can be upgraded to provide 7.2 kW with a 240-volt outlet. The non-hybrid engines can offer 2.0 kW of electricity.

Safety-wise, there are a plethora of available features, including Ford BlueCruise, a hands-free driving system that can take over when you want to enjoy the ride home without too much effort. Ford BlueCruise is a monthly subscription, but several trim levels have a free 90-day trial period, so you can test it out before you decide if you want to continue utilizing the service. Other available driver-assist features include Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, which will help you hook up and back up with your trailer, as well as a 360-degree camera system for a better view around your truck.
